Google Adsense is a program developed by Google as a means of displaying their ads on other people’s sites and in return paying them a certain commission on the money generated when these ads are clicked, to the owners of the web sites.

Earning money on Adsense is not as easy as everyone thinks. Most people think that if they make a site with a couple of pages, and a lot of copied stuff, they will easily start earning money through clicks. It’s a real misunderstanding I’ll tell you. Google is SMART, get that into your head. Google knows most of the tricks in the book when it comes to scamming companies out of their money.

Google gives a payout when you reach $100. Many people think their home free when they reach into their 90’s, but google is one step ahead of the game. It seems Google starts paying attention to your content when the time comes to pay i.e. when you reach into the 90’s ($). Thousands of people find themselves banned one day just when they are about to reach $100. Yes, you can cry and scream all you like, but thats the way it is - if you try to scam people, chances are you’ll get your hopes dashed in the end.

So how do you earn money with Adsense? I told you its not easy, but its not like getting to the moon either. I know of people who earn 5 digit incomes from Adsense per month (see sample images below), though that is a little above average, but then, you know its possible right? Its not that difficult to earn a decent 3 digit or even 4 digit income per month from Adsense, provided you try not hanky panky stuff. Google is very suspicious and will ban anyone who might even remotely be seen to be cheating. That is the way Google builds up its clientele, and it has to uphold its reputation for quality. After all, who would want their advertisements on a site with no traffic and is made of a couple of HTML tags only? I wouldn’t for sure.

Here are some tips for making money through Adsense:

1. Find a good web host and your own domain name which is like this - http://www.yoursitename.com/. Nobody wants to host their ads on a site with a link that looks like this - http://hostname.com/yoursitename/index.htm and neither does Google. They will simply reject your site as unprofessional. Even if you have a blog at blogger such as yourname.blogspot.com there are very less chances of being approved by Google.  To register your own domain name I will suggest Godaddy or some professional company, but rest is your own choice. I use IPower as my web hosting company. You can use any web host which has good reputation and affordable charges. You can go advanced (i.e. Dedicated Servers) if you start getting consistent traffic and your website demands more.

2. Find a good niche to write on. Do not just choose topics for the sake of Search Engine Optimization and do not just look for Adsense High Paying Niche. That’s all good, but if you don’t have good content, you will find it very hard to put new stuff on your site. Pick something you are well versed in, and something on which you can generate a good output of content. Take for example you are interested in Entertainment Niche and you can add good and Unique content to your website but just because Adsense dosen’t pay good to Entertainment Niche you go for finance where you have no experience. It won’t be easy then.

3. Build a good looking site with proper navigation links. Do not build a site with just a few links going to other sites. Make your site look professional and avoid shoddy designs with just a few HTML tags thrown together, otherwise Google with reject your site. To make a good looking site you can use wordpress, wordpress website is just like a blog so that you can add content daily and make it look more familier to what you wanted even if you don’t have any HTML or programming knowledge. There are plenty of plugins which are free so you don’t have to spend from your pocket.

4. Start getting traffic. This is much more difficult than it seems. You need to start spreading word about your site. Advertise on forums, tell your friend you got a site going and so on. Secondly, submit your site to Google Indexing and other search engines. Through proper use of keywords, and if your site targets a particular audience, you will probably be placed very high in their list. It might take a little while, but eventually you should get hundreds if not thousands of new hits per day if you do all the above properly.You should never be in a hurry for traffic. Slowly get your website inbound links, build quality content on daily basis, share your new and unique articles with your friends and online busness partners via Social Bookmarking, submit your websites to directories and if you can afford get your self some quality links by alloowing others to review your website.
