The more directories it’s listed in, the more number of times the google bot will find your site mentioned hence driving up SEO and page rankings and hence improving external traffic to your blog.

Social bookmarking has evolved in a few years and now there are plenty of websites which allow you to submit stories and share it with other members and visitors.
